Rehab should be enjoyable! That’s why we pride ourselves on providing our young clients with a nurturing, healing environment where they can relax and be themselves while participating in teen substance abuse treatment.
Safe Landing’s housing accommodations are designed to promote a tranquil, recovery focused atmosphere. While Safe Landing is a co-ed facility, housing facilities are gender-specific and monitored around the clock. With a small treatment population and a four-to-one client-to-staff ratio, we ensure your teen is comfortable and secure — for an optimal recovery experience.
Our recreational room is fully outfitted with Xbox gaming consoles for team-building, as well as a separate area for movie nights and Netflix streaming. Teens also have access to a ping pong table, board games, puzzles and art activities.
Our residential clients receive three catered meals each day, as well as unlimited snacking options. Does your teen have special dietary restrictions or preferences? Let us know! We’re happy to make any adjustments necessary to accommodate your child’s dining needs.
As part of our holistic approach to care, our mindfulness curriculum teaches clients to be more in tune with their minds, bodies and spirits for total wellness. Yoga and daily meditation keep clients moving and active, while intuitive eating and horticulture therapy teach valuable lessons about proper nutrition.
As part of our commitment to supporting each client’s physical and mental health, Safe Landing also encourages physical activity through play and fitness training. Teens have access to an on-site basketball court and soccer field for recreational use. A certified fitness trainer also works with Safe Landing twice a week.
One of the benefits of being a teen rehab in Miami is our proximity to cultural attractions, activities and sports. After all, it’s important to embrace life beyond substance abuse! Safe Landing offers outings to movies, the beach, rock climbing, airboat rides, ice skating, rollerblading, laser tag, go-kart racing, pier fishing, escape rooms and more.
Available virtually, this support group focuses on parents and family members of currently enrolled clients. This support group provides a safe, judgement-free space to discuss the challenges of having a loved one in treatment for addiction. Participants also receive help and tips for being a part of a recovery support system.
Animal-assisted therapy has been proven effective in helping clients in addiction recovery. Introducing animal interactions into a therapeutic setting can provide a sense of calm, comfort and safety for clients. Pet therapy with dogs is especially useful for adolescent substance abuse treatment as a means of diverting attention, as well as reducing stress and anxiety. Our certified therapy dog, Mantequilla, is on-site five days a week to help teens open up and fully receive the benefits of therapy.
Safe Landing provides excellence in employment skills, educational planning, and resume building throughout treatment. Your teen will work one-on-one with a case manager to ensure any educational and occupational needs are met — for a smooth transition from treatment into daily life without drugs or alcohol.
